3D printers and eco systems of materials Product Design

Just a few years ago, additive manufacturing (AM) was purely associated with rapid prototyping, research projects, and advanced engineering teams. Now many organizations are looking to AM as a production solution. To some this means manufacturing parts through an additive method, to others additive is essential for the creation of timely tooling.

3D printing encompasses many forms of technologies and materials as 3D printing is being used in almost all industries you could think of. It’s important to see it as a cluster of diverse industries with a myriad of different applications.

Additive manufacturing has various  technologies under its umbrella and there is separate eco system of materials which can be worked with these technologies.

Selecting the most suitable Additive Manufacturing (AM) process for a particular application can be difficult.  This session will help to understand additive manufacturing and material selection process.
