Consider a simple tic tac toe game. Now for a computer to compete it would require to think moves that its opponent might make, thus, making counter moves. This is one of the categories of Artificial Intelligence called prediction. The field of AI is vast, it allows us to predict behavior in machines, perform classification, perform recognition like facial recognition or voice recognition and a lot more.
