Jagdish is a seasoned CIO turned entrepreneur, master of technology anchored business transformations. He has worked in varied industries like Construction Equipment, Automotive, and Railway Transportation. He started as a business manager in 1994, set up Automotive World’s largest CRM in 2003, became CIO of Tata Motors in 2009, joined GE Transportation as International CIO in 2017 before turning entrepreneur in 2020. His recipe for success has been managing large scale organizational change inherent in, and critical for any transformative program.
He executed transformative programs in CRM, Dealer Management, Shared Services, HR, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, M&As, and Outsourcing. He led the digital transformation of Tata Motors since 2012 with the adoption of cloud, mobility, Office 265, and Advanced Analytics. He led a global outsourcing program across Tata Motors Group companies in 2013. He led the pan automotive industry EDI initiative - AutoDX. He formed the Tata Group CIO Council and organized the first-ever Tata Group CIO Summit in 2016. He set up IT for GE's Indian Rail JV, led the Wabtec M&A IT transition and set up technology for Wabtec's largest delivery center in Bangalore before starting his own advisory in 2020.
He is an angel investor in startups since 2015, having invested in a variety of startups.
He has won many industry awards including Digitalist - Building Digital Core; Jewels of Digital; IDC Digital Innovation; 2 CSI IT Business Excellence Awards, CIO Power List - Automotive Icon and Transportation Icon, CIO 100, CIO 50, amongst others. He has twice been recognised in top league of the most social CIOs in India.
